Careeres brought to an abrupt end
By Jane Lilley (November 27th, 2008)
'One of the best seminars I have attended recently was that of the Eurasier Society of the UK (proposed) where, following a most friendly welcome, we were given beautifully and obviously painstakingly produced handouts comparing the FCI Standard with our own KC’s interim version, followed by an excellent talk on the breed from an Austrian expert complete with clear slides, which were reproduced exactly on another handout so that full concentration could be focused on the speaker.
A good sandwich-type buffet was then provided before all participants were encouraged to handle six dogs and watch them move individually. Each dog was then brought out and discussed openly by everyone together with the speaker. It was extremely brave of all the owners concerned to agree to have their beloved dogs being admired and criticised in such detail but their courage proved its worth, resulting in a fascinating and instructive exchange of views. The splendid golden certificate of attendance is now a permanent reminder of a happy, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable day.'

The Society would like to thank Annelie and all our participants.
