Patron - Mrs Annelie Feder

Annelie has been Chairperson of the EKW, the oldest and largest Eurasier Club in Germany, for more than 12 years. She is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable Eurasier-people world-wide and has written the only textbook on Eurasiers 'Eurasier heute' (in German, English translation available).

Committee of the Eurasier Society UK

elected at the AGM, 22nd May 2011

Officers

Chairperson - Dr Brigitte Mordan-Grimm

Brigitte’s interest in dogs deepened during her studies of biology in her native Austria. In her search for the ideal companion dog, she encountered the Eurasier in the 1980-ies, and has never looked back! She now owns two Eurasiers, one being the only German Eurasier in the UK (who is a junior champion in her ‘homeland’) and has in the process found many like-minded friends all over Europe. Her versatile (and still expanding!) canine interests range from genetics, behaviour, agility, and obedience to breeding and showing.

Secretary - Mrs Ruth Bickford

Ruth has been a long time equine hybrid owner, enthusiast and member of the British Mule Society. Her passion to gain knowledge from the horse's mouth led her to attend the Eurasier Society's Seminar with our patron Annelie Feder, and hence join the Society. Husband Bryan found the Eurasier breed in his quest for a family companion and this has now changed their lives again with so many new friends and Eurasier adventures taking them to new horizons!

Vice Chair - Mrs Caroline Allen

Caroline had been a very successful breeder of Tibetan Mastiffs (Darchen) before she encountered the Eurasier. Quite a few years ago she fell in love with the Eurasiers' appearance as well as their gentle and sensitive nature and now owns 3 Eurasier girls, 2 of them 'veterans'. She has a keen eye for dogs and vast experience as a breeder.

Treasurer & Membership Secretary - Dr Peter Mordan

Peter on his Eurasiers: they have brought nothing but joy to our lives!

Health Coordinator - Ms Val Ford

Val is a dedicated dog enthusiast, who presently owns a Samoyed and a Eurasier. The wonderful nature of the Eurasier has inspired her to become one of the founder members of the Society.

Committee Member - Mrs Kathy Clark

Committee Member - Mr Ian Cottrell

Ian is a Eurasier widower, manning the home whilst his wife does Obedience, Ring Craft, Heelwork to Music and various competitions and shows with their much loved mother and daughter duo, Enya and Kyra. Having owned a Cavaliers and a German Sheppard they sought a healthy, family orientated dog and discovered the Eurasier. Ian is a passionate enthusiast of the Eurasier, and now being a family breeder, is convinced that the vigorous breeding standards must be maintained for the wellbeing of the breed.
